Create a workspace
When you sign up, Vector creates your first workspace and takes you into it — so you can go straight to the setup guide below. For what a workspace holds, how to create another one, switch between them and how to bring your team in, see Workspaces.Start with the setup guide
You can work through Vector section by section from the left menu. The easier way to start is the Setup guide: a single page that launches every step in the right order and shows you how far you’ve got. Ten steps, seven of them required — from connecting your AI key to your first competitor comparison and economics model. Open it from Setup guide at the top of the left menu.

How the checklist works
Each step tells you what Vector can do for you and gives you an Open action that takes you to the real screen for that job. The checklist never asks you to do the work twice: it links you to Settings, to your product description, to Competitors, and so on, rather than repeating those screens inside itself. Progress is worked out from the actual state of your workspace, not from clicking around the checklist. Add a competitor directly from the Competitors screen and step 3 is marked complete anyway. Switch to another workspace and the progress recalculates for that one.Steps 1 to 7 are required. They form the progress counter and the “ready” state. Steps 8 to 10 are optional extras, shown separately, and aren’t counted in your progress.
Start with your AI key
Step 1 is adding your own AI key, because nearly everything else runs on it: describing your idea, finding competitors, building profiles, comparison, monitoring and research. Until a valid key is saved, every step that needs AI appears locked, with a prompt to add it. Steps that don’t need AI — adding a competitor by hand, setting up channels — stay available. Add your AI key
Connect your own AI key so that every Vector tool runs under your account and your limits. Opens Settings.

Describe your idea
Write your idea in plain words. Vector drafts a detailed concept — problem, audience, value, key features — which you edit and approve. The approved concept is the basis for every step after this one.

Find competitors
Vector finds competitors based on your concept and helps you assemble a shortlist.

Build a full competitor profile
For each competitor, a dossier: strengths and weaknesses, features, pricing, and their full set of public resources.

Compare side by side and get a backlog
Put competitors next to each other feature by feature, and decide what belongs in your own product. The step opens the Coverage view of the feature catalog — see Compare competitors.

Put competitors under monitoring
When a competitor ships something new, you get a notification and the comparison updates.

Model unit economics and pricing (WIP)
Work out token economics and cost of service, assemble pricing packages, and project where the numbers go as you grow.

Set up marketing channels and conversions (WIP, optional)
Pick acquisition channels and placements, set expected funnel conversions, and see what each channel implies for customer acquisition.

Size the market (WIP, optional)
Vector researches market size and segments for your concept, so you can see the ceiling and prioritize.

Build your backlog and roadmap (optional)
Pull the conclusions from comparison, monitoring and research into a prioritized backlog and a first roadmap.

A step is complete when the corresponding thing exists in your workspace:After the required steps
Once steps 1 to 7 are complete, the page shows a summary of what you’ve set up, whether or not you did the optional steps. You can collapse the guide and come back to it from the menu whenever you want — it doesn’t disappear after you finish.Where to go next
